Roles and responsibilities
- Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive cash transfers and record them properly in the cash box in accordance with approved procedures.
- Record all daily cash movements and share daily cash counts via email with supporting documentation.
- Receive and safeguard the field office safe (cash custody) in line with financial regulations.
- Conduct monthly cash counts and ensure reconciliation of balances.
- Process and document staff salary payments.
- Process and document vendor and supplier payments.
- Manage petty cash, including holding the advance, documenting expenses, and submitting monthly reports.
- Prepare and share monthly collection and financial summary sheets.
- Coordinate with the authorized money transfer office (PTT) on all related financial matters.
- Collect, organize, and maintain original financial documentation.
- Submit financial documents to the archiving officer on a monthly basis.
- Perform any other work-related duties assigned by the direct supervisor as needed.
- Qualification, Experiences and Competencies.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred, with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role and comparable responsibilities within NGOs or international NGOs.
- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Effective people management skills, including diplomatic and professional communication.
- Ability to work with diverse individuals, communities, and cultures, with a solid understanding of cultural awareness practices.
- Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English and Arabic, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
