Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Coordination and Implementation
- Support in planning, designing, and coordinating SEMA’s health projects.
- Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities in line with approved proposals, work plans, and budgets.
- Follow up on project progress, identify implementation challenges, and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, MEAL, Compliance) to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Donor Engagement and External Representation
- Represent SEMA in meetings with donors, UN agencies, clusters, and coordination platforms, as delegated.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings and sector working groups, and provide feedback to senior management.
- Support donor communication, including follow-up on action points, information requests, and coordination meetings.
- Contribute to strengthening SEMA’s visibility and professional representation with external stakeholders.
Proposal Development and Reporting
- Contribute to needs assessments, concept notes, and proposal development in English and Arabic.
- Support grants and programs teams in ensuring alignment between proposals, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Contribute to narrative reporting, donor updates, and internal program reports.
- Ensure program documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with donor requirements.
Monitoring, Quality and Compliance
- Ensure that program activities adhere to donor regulations, humanitarian principles, and SEMA’s internal policies.
- Support coordination with the MEAL unit to ensure results-based implementation and learning.
- Participate in field visits when required to monitor implementation quality and provide technical feedback.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide technical input to community-based and health-related programming when required.
- Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned by the line manager.
Required qualifications and experience
- University degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or another relevant medical or health-related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the implementation and supervision of medical and health projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian or development programming, preferably with exposure to health or protection programs.
- Strong understanding of the program cycle, donor-funded projects, and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience in external coordination and representation is an asset.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Good computer literacy (MS Office and reporting tools).
- Desirable
- PMP or other project management certification.
- Previous experience working with international NGOs or UN-funded projects.
