Roles and responsibilities
• Preparing the operating room for receiving and preparing the patient.
• Preparing the necessary instruments according to the type of surgical procedure.
• Monitoring sterilization procedures in the operating room.
• Assisting the specialist surgeon during the surgical procedure.
• Sterilizing surgical instruments in a professional manner.
• Adhering to the medical waste segregation policy according to approved protocols and recommendations from the infection control department.
• Performing any task requested by the direct supervisor within the scope of work.
• Committing to attending the training sessions to which he is invited.
Required qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a nursing institute/school certificate.
• Medical assistant surgeon license.
• Good skill and knowledge in surgical tasks and procedures.
• Familiarity with health and occupational safety standards.
• Flexibility in work.
• Good level of English language proficiency.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Technical skills and good knowledge of the use of surgical tools and equipment.
• Ability to maintain composure, focus, and calmness while in the operating room.
• Good physical health, as the nature of the work requires standing for long hours in the operating room and carrying heavy medical equipment.
• Commitment to goals, principles, and values.
• Adaptability and ability to handle work pressure.
