As part of its efforts to enhance the competency of humanitarian workers, SEMA concluded a training on “Safe Identification and Referral” for protection service providers and support for early childhood and several legal professionals.
The training involved 16 trainees over a two-day period aimed at elevating the level of protection and assistance services for children affected by disasters and wars.
Despite identification and referral not being tools for detecting individuals, but rather aiming to refer individuals to mental health care services for deeper evaluation and management of their condition.
SEMA is working on providing continuous training packages for social care providers to achieve the highest quality standards, reflecting on beneficiaries, especially younger age groups.
