As part of its ongoing efforts to expand medical services provided to our people in northern Syria, Sama opened the specialized digestive clinic at the Sema-supported Idlib Surgical Hospital.
In a new attempt to improve specialized medical services, the digestive clinic is accompanied by a dedicated department for upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, which helps in early detection of many diseases including stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, colon cancer, and anemia, in addition to effective treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding and chronic diarrhea.
The ERCP bile duct and pancreatic imaging device has also been activated, which helps in detecting obstructive jaundice, common bile duct stones, biliary tract tumors, and pancreatic tumors.
The opening of the digestive diseases department is considered a provision of one of the most vital specialties related to public health, providing free specialized services to digestive system patients with the best possible quality.
