We are delighted to share with our esteemed website visitors this inspirational story from the Martyr Waseem Hussain Hospital. Calling it a success story is an understatement; it is, in fact, a tale of a new life, with an 85-year-old patient as its protagonist.
In the details, patient Q, at the age of 85, had visited the urology clinic with a history of painful hematuria for several years. Following radiological and laboratory investigations, multiple bladder stones were diagnosed, and based on this, the patient was prepared for surgery.
After the necessary consultations, the surgery was performed under general anesthesia, extracting approximately 25 bladder stones, as depicted in the image. Subsequently, the patient was monitored in the recovery ward, and later discharged in good health.
The Syrian Expatriates Medical Association (SEMA) recently initiated a comprehensive update of the hospital’s departments, especially the surgical operations section, and introduced a newly established Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The hospital, located in Kafr Takharim, has been providing medical and surgical services since 2013 till date.
