Roles and responsibilities
- Grants Management & Compliance
Oversee the full grant lifecycle from proposal development to closure in compliance with donor requirements.
Review grant agreements and amendments, ensuring understanding and dissemination of key terms across departments.
Track deliverables and ensure timely submission of narrative and financial reports.
- Proposal Development
Lead and coordinate the development of concept notes and full proposals.
Ensure proposals are aligned with donor priorities and organizational strategy.
Coordinate with technical, MEAL, and finance teams to produce high-quality submissions.
- Donor Communication & Relationship Management
Maintain regular and professional communication with donors, partners, and sub-grantees.
Coordinate donor meetings, visits, and presentations.
Represent the organization in external meetings, workshops, and coordination forums.
- Resource Mobilization & Donor Engagement
Identify and track new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
Develop and maintain a donor mapping and funding pipeline.
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and potential donors.
Monitor donor trends and funding landscapes (e.g. European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, United States Agency for International Development, UN agencies).
- Sub-grants Management
Develop and manage sub-grant agreements and amendments.
Ensure sub-grantees’ compliance with donor requirements.
Provide capacity building and ongoing support to partners.
Monitor sub-grantees’ performance and reporting.
- Coordination & Internal Communication
Lead grant kick-off, review, and closure meetings.
Prepare and share project summaries (Project Cards) across departments.
Ensure effective coordination between programs, finance, and MEAL teams. Any other duties assigned by line manager when required
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in grants management in the humanitarian or development sector
- Strong Knowledge in key donor reporting rules and regulations e.g. ECHO, UNFPA, DFID, OFDA, will be a plus.
- Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
- People management skills that include diplomacy
- Ability to work with diverse people, communities, and cultures, with an understanding of cultural awareness practices.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent skills in English and Arabic
