Roles and responsibilities
• Perform the required radiological examinations for patients according to the work procedures manual for each of these examinations, whether related to patient preparation or appropriate device usage.
• Assist the patient before, during, and after the imaging process.
• Prepare the radiographic films after completing the imaging process and develop them to assess their quality in terms of imaging and development factors.
• Present properly developed radiographic films to the responsible physician for interpretation and writing the final report.
• Prepare the materials, injections, medications, and solutions necessary for specialized examinations as directed by the physician.
• Assist the physician in conducting and completing specialized examinations.
• Receive film and dye requests, verify and prepare them, and store them in a suitable place to prevent damage.
• Receive custody of equipment and supplies specific to the radiology department and ensure their preservation.
• Maintain and inspect the used devices and equipment for damage and misuse, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Regularly examine radiographic equipment, ensure its functionality, report any malfunctions, and follow the preventive maintenance program.
• Apply general safety rules and radiation protection measures during work.
• Perform any other tasks assigned within their area of expertise.
Required qualifications and experience
• Diploma from a Radiology Technician Institute.
• Two years of experience in the same field.
• Good knowledge of the machines and tools used in specialized radiological examinations.
• Familiarity with medications and drugs used in radiological examinations, and the ability to provide patient assistance in case of any complications.
• Highly effective communication skills.
• Acceptable level of computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Acceptable level of proficiency in the English language.
• Flexibility, positivity, and professionalism in dealing with others.
