Bunions, medically known as “hallux valgus,” are a common foot problem, particularly among women. They result from excessive pressure on the front of the foot, often due to wearing ill-fitting, narrow, or high-heeled shoes. This can lead to swelling, discomfort, and severe pain.

In response to this issue, the patient (H.Q.), a woman in her thirties, sought help at the orthopedic clinic of Wasim Husseino Hospital. She underwent a corrective surgery on the outer side of her big toe, which involved removing the bone protrusions and realigning the bunion’s position. The procedure aimed to alleviate her pain and improve the overall function and appearance of her foot.
