The United Nations OCHA team conducted a field visit to the Ariha Maternity and Children’s Hospital, which is supported by the Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund and implemented by SEMA.
During the visit, the team conducted an inspection tour to monitor operations and assess the key challenges faced by the medical and administrative staff, aiming to ensure the continuity and improvement of service quality.
Rotana Al-Khatrani, Program Officer at the Syria Cross-Border Humanitarian Fund, emphasized the importance of the hospital, stating:
“Ariha Hospital is a vital lifeline for thousands of people, providing pediatric, maternity, and life-saving surgical services.”
She added: “More than 34,000 people benefit from this project, including women, children, and displaced families, making the need for continued support crucial. We are here to ensure that humanitarian aid continues to reach those in greatest need.”
