In coordination with the Lattakia Health Directorate, the SEMA Organization activated its urgent humanitarian response to support those affected by the widespread wildfires that swept across multiple areas of rural Lattakia in recent days, as a result of the significant rise in temperatures.
Within this framework, SEMA delivered a shipment of essential medicines and medical supplies required to treat burn and suffocation cases that affected a number of civilians and Civil Defense personnel during their efforts to combat the fires and save lives.
In addition, 470 parcels of safe drinking water were distributed to help meet the needs of residents and healthcare workers in the affected areas, particularly amid reduced access to safe water sources.
SEMA Organization reaffirms its ongoing commitment to stand by our people in Lattakia and to continue coordinating with relevant authorities to provide urgent medical and humanitarian support wherever the need arises.
