A delegation from the Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA), represented by Dr. Hassan Hawwa, Chairman of the Board, and Dr. Mohammad Hassan Maghribeh, Chief Executive Officer, paid an official visit to Dr. Maher Al-Shara’a, Acting Minister of Health, with the aim of discussing ways to strengthen mutual cooperation and support the healthcare sector in Syria.

During the meeting, which was held yesterday at the ministry headquarters in the capital, Damascus, Dr. Al-Shara’a reviewed the main challenges facing the healthcare sector in Syria, highlighting the importance of partnership between the ministry and the organization to support hospitals and health centers, and to improve the quality of medical services provided to patients.

For his part, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Maghribeh emphasized the importance of direct communication between the organization’s medical team and the healthcare staff in hospitals, as well as the need to closely monitor the process of delivering healthcare services. He also stressed the importance of listening to the challenges faced by healthcare providers in order to overcome obstacles and provide the necessary support to ensure the best possible medical care for patients.

He reaffirmed SEMA’s commitment to supporting the healthcare sector in Syria and contributing to its humanitarian goals by alleviating the suffering of citizens and enhancing the quality of healthcare services.
